Installation Done Right
A beautifully conserved piece of art deserves to be installed with the same level of care it receives in storage. Improper hanging hardware, uneven placement, inadequate wall anchors, or poor lighting angles can all diminish a work and, in the worst case, damage it. Our installation service covers the full process from site assessment through the final level check.
Installation is also the service most visible to everyone who walks through the room after we leave. Our goal is that the piece looks like it has always been there: level, centered, well-lit, and securely mounted.
Our Installation Process
- Site assessment. We evaluate the wall, the lighting, the surrounding furniture, and any constraints. For unusual walls (plaster over lath, old brick, glass partitions) we confirm that the hardware we plan to use is the right fit.
- Placement planning. For single pieces, placement is typically straightforward. For multi-piece arrangements or salon walls, we map the layout on the floor or using paper templates on the wall before any holes are drilled.
- Hardware selection and installation. Appropriate hardware is selected for the piece, the wall type, and the weight. We bring hardware with us and can fabricate or source custom brackets for oversized or unusually heavy works.
- Hang and level. Each piece is hung, leveled, and adjusted. Multi-piece arrangements are measured carefully so spacing stays consistent.
- Site cleanup and documentation. We clean up the site and document final placement for insurance and inventory records.

Why Choose Vidro for Art Installation
Installation by art handlers, not general contractors. The difference is in the details: how carefully the piece is lifted, how the hardware is tensioned, how the level is checked twice before any move is final.
Part of a complete care cycle. Because we already handle storage, packing, and transportation, installation as a follow-on to one of those services is seamless. The same handlers who packed and moved your work are the ones who place it on the wall.
Local knowledge. We install across Los Angeles: residences, galleries, corporate offices, hospitality venues. That local experience means we already know most of the building types and conditions we will encounter.
Clean site, clear documentation. When we leave, the site is clean. The documentation of final placement is useful for insurance and for future moves.
Frequently Asked Questions About Art Installation
Can you work from a designer's plan or layout?
Yes. We regularly work from interior designer plans, gallery layouts, and client-provided placement guides. Bring us the plan and we will install to it. We can also consult on placement if you do not have a fixed plan.
Do you provide the hanging hardware?
Yes. We bring appropriate hanging hardware for the piece and wall type. For oversized or unusually heavy works, we can fabricate custom brackets or source specialty hardware in advance of the installation.
Can you handle gallery-style salon walls or multi-piece layouts?
Yes. We install single pieces, pairs, multi-piece arrangements, and full salon-style walls. For complex layouts, we map placement in advance on the floor or with paper templates on the wall, so any adjustments happen before holes are drilled.
Do you handle de-installation as well?
Yes. We take pieces down as carefully as we put them up, and we can combine de-install with packing and transport for pieces moving to storage or another location. This is often the cleanest approach for renovations, relocations, and gallery show transitions.
